Protecting Yourself from a Sting

Stinging is a bee's last line of defense. A honey bee will indicate her annoyance by zig-zagging close to your neck and face, or bouncing off your clothes or skin.Walk away calmly. Do not make sudden movements. Sudden movements are viewed as an aggressive act.

What is a Swarm?

A swarm is an aggregation of bees that leaves the mother colony to establish a new colony. Swarming is a natural way for a colony to reproduce.
